5 element acupuncture

5 Element Acupuncture has been used for over two thousand years as a method of diagnosis and treatment, the system is based on the five elements of nature: fire, earth, metal, water and wood. It is believed that these five elements should be in balance for the body to be in harmony.

5 element acupuncture works on balancing your internal systems. By balancing the body internally it releases blocks, which helps smooth and balance emotions and support your mental health. Releasing these blocks can also help ease chronic pain and physical ailments such as migraines, digestive issues, skin rashes, gynaecological concerns, sleep issues, aches and pains as well as many more concerns. Please follow the link to The British Acupuncture council for research and evidence on other symptoms treated. If you do not see your specific symptom, please do still get in touch as acupuncture may still be able to support you.

The first session a full diagnosis of your symptoms will be be taken, this will be followed by an initial treatment. Clark will create a individualised treatment plan specific to your symptoms. Dependant on your symptoms Clark may use different techniques such as: auricular, moxa, gua sha, cupping, tuina or electro acupuncture.

Clark will position fine needles along different points on specific meridian lines. When choosing attire for acupuncture please wear comfortable clothes and comfortable underwear, a gown and blanket will be given for cover and comfort. Acupuncture points positions will be discussed before treatment, if you are not comfortable with anything acupuncture is versatile and Clark will be able to adjust treatment to suit your needs

The first session will take up to 1.5 hours and will cost £70 all sessions after will be up to an 1 hour long and will cost £60.  Payment can be taken in cash or bank transfer on the day, bank details will be sent by email.

If you would like to cancel or reschedule your appointment please contact Clark at least 48 hours beforehand, late cancellations will be charged at the full rate.  Contact can be made through email Clarkjamesacupuncture@gmail .com

I’ve been having treatments with Clark for a while now and every session he amazes me. We started our journey together treating something very specific that modern medicine couldn’t get to the bottom of. Now he works with what is coming up week to week.

He has created such a little sanctuary of calm in his space and is so unbelievably intuitive with what might be off in the body. I always leave him feeling very grounded, centred and super energised! Can’t recommend enough!
